Fate of doped carriers in silver fluoride cuprate analogs

${\mathrm{AgF}}_{2}$ is a correlated charge-transfer insulator with properties remarkably similar to insulating cuprates, which have raised hope that it may lead new family of unconventional superconductors upon doping. We use ab initio computations study doping strategies leading metallization. Because the upper Hubbard band very narrow electron leads undesired strongly self-trapped states (polarons). For hole-doped case, polaron tendency stronger than for cuprates but still moderate enough expect heavily doped compounds become metallic. Since strong lattice coupling originates in buckling we also an hypothetically flat allotrope and show has excellent prospect compare behavior conventional cuprate ${\mathrm{La}}_{2}{\mathrm{CuO}}_{4}$ electron-doped ${\mathrm{Nd}}_{2}{\mathrm{CuO}}_{4}$. Our results clear path achieve high-temperature superconductivity silver fluorides.
